About Aging
It's never too late!
Most people see aging as the inevitable deterioration of the body. The results we often see as aging are in large part a function of losing fluidity, and of the accumulation of tension and rigidity in the tissues of the body.
The physical effects of aging can be reduced by encouraging and maintaining the fluidity of our physical structures. At a simplified level, Structural Integration is a process of improving the extensibility of the collagen in the fascia and surrounding tissue through the use of pressure and manipulation. As the fascia is returned to an optimal state of fluidity the body can regain its normal, flexible, elastic condition. Circulation and nerve function can be returned to an optimal state. This combined with proper nutrition will help prevent many of the age-related problems such as joint replacements and other physical maladies that are so prevalent today. Millions are spent on pharmaceuticals and diagnostic technology for common ailments related to structural problems. Our healthcare system needs to start looking at prevention of structural maladies by preserving the optimal function of the body.
It is possible for people in their 60's and 70's to have an active lifestyle through all of their adult lives.
Unfortunately, many people accept that aging naturally leads to physical decline and morbidity. This is not the case!
How do you imagine spending your golden years?
